Within an hour of contacting Pillar Heating Air Appliance due to a malfunctioning forced air furnace, their technician (Aidan) arrived to begin repairs. He was polite, courteous, trustworthy and professional from the moment he arrived; and remained that way throughout the entire repair and diagnostic process. Superior service! John met me at the scheduled time to fix my water heater. No waiting for a 4-5 hour window. He was professional, friendly and identified the problem quickly. Also, the customer service is top notch. Thank you Pillar!!
Aidan and Ethan came to swap out a control board. They were clean, polite and got right to work. They also took a lot of extra time, at no extra charge, to go over the whole furnace, making sure all components worked properly. Pillar was recommended to me in 2022 and I've used them ever since. Highly pass on the recommendation.
Upfront on the cost which I considered high but with no competition so they can charge high. Needed suspension rods on my amanA washer. The charge was $242 for parts and labor. He was only here for an hour. And the warranty is only 30 days.
Called for a washing machine repair. On google’s listing, Pillar says they have free estimates, but on the call they mention it’s $99 to even come out and look. After looking at it for a while, the guy tells me he’s not sure how many issues there are, but says a part needs to be replaced to see how many other issues there are. Problem: that replacement alone costs more than the washing machine did brand new (by the way, got the washer barely over a year ago). Don’t lie and say free estimates on your listing just to charge $100 to look at it and quote a ridiculous price.

Damien showed up and fixed our furnace within 30 minutes of hanging up the phone and telling me he was on it. Damien left a business card with me and later after he left our house I read his title as “Owner”. I can’t believe the level of service that Damien displayed today for a new family in need.

We filed a claim with Citi Visa for extended warranty benefits on our oven, so Pillar came out to provide the required estimate. Then, they had to wait over 2 weeks for us to get approval before returning to make the needed repair. We ended up needing a different part, so they ordered it quickly and then came back as soon as they received the part. Note: They provide a 30-day warranty on parts (via manufacturer stipulations) and labor..
I would give PILLAR a higher rating than 5 stars if I could!! John came out and fixed my furnace that would not turn on. He was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Casey, who answered the phone and got me scheduled was great too!! Pillar is the best, thank you John and Casey!!

If I could give this company 500 stars, I absolutely would. The team at Pillar are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They show up on time and are so good at what they do! Pillar was prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. They diagnosed the problem with our wall oven, ordered parts, and completed the installation all within a quick period of time. Called to and asked if they service boilers. They said yes and they could come by the next day. The owner (not a real friendly guy and pretty grumpy)
and a tech came and looked at boiler. It was clear their boiler experience was limited. The backflow was pointed as being the likely culprit. Called the backflow guy and he came over and tested it while Pillar was there. They was nothing wrong with the backflow. The backflow gentleman had to explain pressure differences and essentially backflow and pressure regulator had to be swapped. Pillar was supposed to purge the lines of air. After they left and the boiler started running again the same problem started up. They quoted me $675 to swap the backflow and regulator (no new parts). I ended up doing it myself in an hour with using one small new fitting. They also charged me $300 for the service charge. Which they really didn’t do anything. Needless to say I ended up calling a plumber/boiler specialist (MZ Plumbing). He came by and did a great job and was very knowledgable . He took apart a piece that was supposed to vent air and identified the float in there was not working and recommended replacing it.
Moral of the story, Pillar should have not taken a job they couldn’t do. They wasted my time, their time and my hard earned $300. I will never call them for future heating/cooling needs. I’m out unnecessarily almost $600 between them and the plumber. I will definitely call MZ plumber in the future for boiler or plumbing needs.

We were so grateful to the two young men who came after 5:00 pm on a Friday to fix our gas fireplace. They were friendly, and found the problem within 2 minutes. We will definitely use them again. I forgot to add that the office was super good too! They made the effort to check in with the technicans in the field to see if they would come.

We're very grateful for Pillar appliance! We moved into a new house and brought our own appliances with us. The builder would not install our appliances so we had to find someone who would do it. We found Pillar online, called them and they said they could install our appliances. Long story short, they installed 3 appliances in no time and did an excellent job! If in the future we should need someone for appliances, air or heat - we won't hesitate to call Pillar!

Pillar installed natural gas fireplace ( new gas lines, set up fireplace ) . Their bid was very competitive. Aiden and Ethan showed up right on time , they wasted no time in getting on the job. There workmanship was very professional.
This is long, but the bottom line is: Kacie, Aidan and Ethan were excellent. My husband and I are thrilled with the service that Pillar provided. We talked first with Kacie, who set up an appointment for us and described the yearly maintenance plan. Kacie was very professional and helpful. Texts with a photo of the technician, were sent to us to update us to when he would arrive. Aidan and Ethan arrived and were wonderful. I told them they did not need to put on booties to protect our floor, they said that they didn't want to leave any spots on the floor. We asked them to install our dryer which required some work with the dryer ducting. One of them set about doing that, while the other checked out our furnace. They gave us advice on the use of filters for the furnace and showed us where to find them. They also labeled the unit so we could easily take care of that task. We asked if they could check the exhaust fan in the bathroom. They checked it out and will work to replace it. I mentioned that the gas fireplace smelled like gas. They immediately went out to their truck and installed a monoxide detector. They did not smell gas but advised us that if a warning went off on the alarm to turn off the gas to the fireplace and give them a call right away. We appreciated the care and hard and careful work Aidan and Ethan provided. We also are happy with the fact that Pillar will be able to provide maintenance for our furnace and air conditioner once a year. It was a pleasure to have such fine young men come into our home.

Pillar sent two professionals, Ethan and Aidan to our house to repair or replace a high mounted vent fan that stopped working some time ago. Within minutes they had diagnosed the issue, repaired the fan motor and were on their way. They were clean cut, polite and not pushing to replace something that could be fixed. These guys were studs! Ethan and Aidan came to our house and helped us hook up our dryer venting which was surprisingly complicated. I tried 3 times to get it hooked up and they came over and crushed it! Solved all of our issues and were very kind as well.
Hands down the most trustworthy HVAC company in town. Technician John was able to diagnose and correct brand-new mini-split unit that had been installed wrong by another company. He explained everything in detail while he was here and took the time to ensure everything was correct before he left.

Anthony Pillars appliance tech came out today and troubleshooting are gas oven for not heating properly. He found that the starter was not working properly and replaced it with a new one. Works great like new, he carried the replacement parts and was done in no time. I recommend them for your appliances repair!
Damien from Pillar HVAC responded promptly to my request for a second opinion concerning the furnace at our 11 year old home in Coeur d'Alene which we were told by another service provider was in need of replacement due to the estimated $3,028 cost of repairing it. Within less than 45 minutes Damien had identified and replaced the failed low voltage contactor which brought both the air conditioner and furnace back into full operation! Had Pillar install a new coil unit for my air conditioner. Excellent service, they troubleshot the issue, made recommendations on repair/replace. Replacing the faulty part instead of replacing the complete system saved a considerable amount of $$$. Installers were professional and courteous. Our stove/oven went out on a Saturday morning. I called Pillar Appliance expecting to leave a voicemail and hear back from them on Monday. About an hour later the owner called me back, set up an appointment for Monday morning. The service technician, Anthony Cranford, came out diagnosed the problem. He had to order a part, but came back the next morning and made the repair. Anthony was great! We have used Pillar Appliance several times and will continue to do so.

Called for pre-season AC maintenance/service and got an appointment for the next morning. I got a text the next morning saying John was on his way, with his photo. He arrived on time and got right to work. He explained everything he was doing, showed me the multimeter readings and the normal ranges listed on the AC unit, then explained what MUST be replaced, what SHOULD be replaced, and left it up to me to decide. No hard sell for a new unit or any services I didn't need. The bill was very reasonable, and John left me with some basic maintenance tasks that I can perform. I'm glad I called Pillar for this service.

Pillar, Heating Air and Appliance repair deserves a 5-Star rating! They were quick to respond to our needs regarding a second opinion on our Heater. Pillar was outstanding, as was the service technician Todd S! I called regarding my dryer. I was scheduled the same day for an appointment & they asked for the model number of my appliance ahead of time. They sent a text with the name and a photo of the service technician when he was on his way. He was very thorough diagnosing the issue & even had the part to replace with him. My dryer was fixed & operational SAME DAY!!

Very polite and quick service. Called for service on a Monday and they were able to get a technician out Tuesday morning. They sent a message letting us know he was on his way including the his name and picture! Todd was very courteous and thorough in the repair explaining every detail. We will always call Pillar for our appliance repairs! Highly recommend them to all who need repairs!
This morning we woke up to a non-functioning furnace. Given the cold spell that's taken over North Idaho, I assumed I was looking at a multi-day wait for a technician to look at our furnace.

The receptionist was kind, friendly, fast - took my information and let me know a time that a technician would come by. Not only did I have a same day appointment, they were able to make it an hour early.
John was my repair tech he had the issue diagnosed within 15 minutes, frozen condensation lines in the furnace, and gave me detailed advice on how to resolve the issue. There was no high pressure upsell for parts, just simple practical help.
I'd highly recommend Pillar Heating and Air to anyone looking for a trustworthy, friendly, upfront repair company. I was thoroughly impressed.

Truly a five star experience. Repair on our oven was what we thought it might be and price that Pillar had estimated as typical was where it came in. Communication with office was timely and excellent. Loved Anthony, our tech. We've had plenty of appliance repairs in North Idaho and this was our best experience. Never look forward to repairs but look forward to using Pillar again!
